Deutschland Orientation is offering free information since 2001 and serving the non English speaking community inside Germany. Our articles come from different sources who are our fellow students, colleagues etc. The initiative was born out of our need for essential information for a non German speaker and back in 2001 it was a nightmare to survive without proper German language skills and cultural knowledge. That was the time we , with other friends started an yahoo group called project-O , stands for Project Orientation and is mainly serving new students coming to Germany.

With the help of the group we have helped almost every student  who came to Germany with right information, orienting them with volunteers from different universities and even accommodation for few new comers. All that was for free and with the aim of helping new comers who should not have issues like us for survival in the fatherland. The group was created by a group of students at Darmstadt University and later it was so successful that the Darmstadt University had officially started advising new admitted students to join the group.

After a few years, we went ahead with technology and created a website called www.de-orient.com , providing all the information on the Internet without having to join a yahoo group(the group is still open to public, but with social networking sites like orkut, facebook, it has faded away). The website is updated from time to time with loads of unofficial infos which are not available elsewhere.

In 2011, after 10 years the founders have moved to India and planned to offer orientation services like providing training to students/employees moving to Germany, translation services, German taxes, pensions etc and all related to Germany. Our public website will still remain free to public and only the services we offer shall be charged.

Information is always vital especially for people migrating to non English speaking countries and we take this opportunity to orient you from the experts who lived and enjoyed life in Germany and got good ties with Germany.

The site offers orientation services to people moving to Germany and for Germans who are visiting India. We hope it is a good initiative and hope to be successful.
